Cost of living crisis continues

There is no sign of the cost of living crisis abating in Britain.

The annual inflation rate rose yet again in September, hitting 10.1%

– the level it was at in July.

Rising food prices made the largest contributi­on to inflation and energy costs were also up by 70%.

Netflix gained a net 2.4 million subscriber­s in the third quarter, reversing six months of customer losses.

The streaming service now has more than 220 million users worldwide – far more than rivals such as Disney+ and Prime.

Netflix also plans to launch cheaper subscripti­on plans supported by advertisin­g.
