Pals launch their ‘yellow’ campaign to find missing mum Nicola
BY PHIL CARDY
FAMILY and friends of Nicola Bulley last night urged the nation to “turn Facebook yellow” in a bid to uncover vital information about her mystery disappearance.
They launched a campaign called bringnikkihome – 24 hours after the missing mum’s partner said he was “100% convinced” she did not fall into the River Wyre in Lancashire.
The hope is if everyone posts the campaign’s yellow logo on their social media pages, it could lead to a witness coming forward with new evidence.
Nicola’s friends and relatives shared the logo on their pages yesterday. Pal Emma White wrote: “The search is still ongoing for that vital piece of information.
“What we do have is love and strength driven from the hope, please share the love and bringnikkihome – turning Facebook yellow.”
Nicola’s sister Louise Cunningham also urged people to keep sharing the message as the search for the 45-year-old entered its third week.
Mum-of-two Nicola vanished while walking her dog Willow along the riverbank in the village of St Michael’s on Wyre on Friday, January 27.
Her phone, still connected to a work call, was later found on a bench overlooking the water.
Lancashire Police believe Nicola may have fallen into the river, but divers searching it have so far found no trace.
Speaking on TV this week, Nicola’s partner Paul Ansell said: “Personally, I am 100% convinced it’s not the river.”
He said: “Nikki would never give up on us ever... And we’re not gonna ever give up on her.
“There has to be a way to find out what happened... you cannot walk your dog down a river and just vanish into thin air. Something happened that day.”
The search this week moved 10 miles downstream to where the river empties into the sea at Morecambe Bay.
But Lancashire Police say they are still investigating “all possible leads”. They have also issued dispersal notices after individuals, thought to be amateur detectives, were seen “filming” close to where Nicola vanished.
Please share the love and bring Nikki home, turning Facebook yellow
