Fury: This will not be a ‘problem’

- Jake Paul v Tommy Fury FROM DONAGH CORBY in Saudi Arabia

Tonight, 6.30pm

TOMMY FURY has vowed to rid boxing of its

‘problem child’ with a quick stoppage of Jake Paul tonight in Riyadh.

After two years of intensive build-up and multiple cancellations, it’s Love Island star meets YouTuber in a bout worth millions for the main event fighters, and a £19.95 fee for fans watching on pay-per-view.

Undoubtedly, the Brit will be Paul’s toughest test, coming from a legendary family and holding years more experience as a boxer both professionally and as an amateur.

Fury admitted: “I can guarantee 110 percent this fight will be going down and it will be a very exciting fight. Losing is not an option. It doesn’t come into my mind, I have the mentality of a winner and I don’t envision losing.

“The man can’t fight, at least the other fighters I’ve fought are actually fighters. This guy is a gimmick and everybody’s going to know that after this fight. Throughout my entire career I will never fight anybody as bad as Jake Paul, he’s about as bad as it gets.”

However, that has not appeared to rock the confidence of America’s Paul, who is already eyeing up a clash with UFC legend Nate Diaz later this year.

“It’s finally here,” a relieved Paul admitted this week. “Thank the higher powers and I’m going to put on a show for y’all.

“In boxing people say ‘don’t look past your opponent,’ but then that just means that you don’t truly believe you’re going to win.

“I know I have to go in there and perform, but I don’t see myself not doing that. I do schedule things, I’m a businessman and I love my Google calendar.

“I’ve got a ‘to-do list’ every single day, so of course I’m going to be thinking about future fights and planning those out as well...

Nate Diaz is next.”
