Busty lag complains about bra access

- BY STIAN ALEXANDER scoops@reachplc.com

A FEMALE prisoner with a 40HH bust has filed a complaint after jail bosses failed to provide a bra that fits properly.

The lag claims she has had to go without support since February last year because the standard prison bras are far too small and make it look like she has “four boobs”.

The woman, called Julie and who is held at category C HMP Eastwood Park in Falfield, Glos, wrote to prisons magazine Inside Time to complain about her “bra issue”, saying: “All I want is a bra that fits but I have nothing. This is causing me a lot of stress.”

The publication has now called on the Prison Service to offer a bra fitting service, similar to that offered by high street chain

Marks & Spencer. A source said: “Julie’s complaint could well be upheld, so to speak.

“There have been a series of issues with different prisoners with larger measurements being given the wrong size bras.

“It is no joke to the women involved, who argue that the prison has a responsibilty to look after them properly – and that includes proper clothing.”

Last year, a 40-year-old inmate with a 36HH bust won a sex discrimination case after she was issued with standard jail-issue bras that did not fit.

The Prison Service said if an inmate requires clothes of a “non-standard size”, governors should “allow friends or relatives to hand them in to the jail”.
