TICKET TO EURO HELL

- By Lewis Panther

ENGLAND’S Euro 2016 opening game may turn into a bloodbath as online ticket touts offer fans seats among thousands of Russian supporters.

Loyal Three Lions fans are being warned to avoid online sellers flogging tickets to the June 11 clash in France’s Mediterranean port city of Marseille.

Russia has a reputation for football violence with hooligans from rival teams arranging military-style battles before games. They also ally themselves to neo-Nazi groups, forgetting that Hitler’s armies killed millions of Russians in the Second World War.

Dark- skinned fans face particular danger.

European f ootball’s governing body Uefa is monitoring online secondary selling sites to stop tickets allocated to Russian fans being sold to England supporters. It warned that England fans sitting among Russians could “undermine” the security of spectators. Nick Bitel, a solicitor acting for Uefa, said: “There is a high risk that, even if genuine tickets are delivered, supporters will find themselves with tickets for enclosures reserved for opposing fans.”

French police may stop those with tickets obtained illegally or by breaking rules from entering the stadium.

There are also fears the game may be targeted by Islamic State as both nations have been involved in bombing its positions in Syria. EXPERTS stuck BluTack to the end of rods to take samples from the core of Dounreay nuclear plant in Scotland, which is being dismantled. CHURCHILL’S ancestral palace at Blenheim, Oxon, is next month launching a beer made with spring water from the estate.
