Don’t be so dozy, Fergie

-

OH FERGIE, what were you thinking? We all like a little zzzz on the train, especially when we are cracking on a bit, but there are a few simple rules to follow.

Never allow full exposure. Keep a pair of sunglasses with you at all times. A copy of the Financial Times can be useful to cover the entire face but if you start to dribble, it can look messy on that pink paper.

Wearing a parka with an overhanging furry hood often does the trick, though it can be a bit sweaty in the height of summer.

But, whatever you do, if you are going for a sneaky wee shut-eye on public transport, DO NOT carry a handbag with the faces of your daughters, the Queen’s granddaughters, emblazoned on the front.
