Gas blast inferno

FLAMES light up the night sky after a massive gas mains explosion shook houses.

One man was taken to hospital and another was treated at the scene by paramedics as firefighters fought Friday night’s blaze at Estuary Business Park, Whitstable, Kent.

Witness Stephanie Harris, 23, said: “A huge bang shook the house. It was incredibly loud and for a few seconds it felt like an earthquake.”
