Foote pain Strictly Georgia reveals break-up
THE Corrie cast took to their own float during Manchester’s Gay Pride parade yesterday – a gingerbread house version of the Rovers Return pub and corner shop.
It’s become an annual tradition for the show’s stars, and Kym Marsh, barmaid Michelle, looked stunning as Princess Rapunzel for the parade’s Once Upon A Time fairytale theme.
Sair Khan, factory manager Alya, looked angelic in wings, and Rhea Bailey, soldier Caz, was The Mad Hatter. Faye Brookes, Caz’s ex lover Kate, dressed up as Robin Hood.
Other stars on the day included Antony Cotton, Sean in the show, and Katie McGlynn, who plays Sinead. GEORGIAG May Foote has split fromfr her Strictly Come Dancing boyfriendbo Giovanni Pernice.
The former Corrie star, 25, tweeted ye yesterday: “It is with great sadness we have de decided to split up. There is nobody else inv involved. Although it was not an easy de decision to make, sometimes you realise th that it is better to be friends.
“We are both going to focus on our up upcoming work projects, and we wish each other well.” She signed off: “Thank you for all your support for us during and after the series. I love you all very much.”
Giovanni, 25, repeated the message on his own Twitter profile.
The pair met on the BBC show last year while Georgia was dating former Corrie co- star Sean Ward. They split after a heated hotel room exchange at the end of Strictly’s run and she later started seeing Giovanni. Earlier this month, Georgia admitted she was anxious about seeing him with other women on this year’s show.
She said: “Of course I’ll get jealous. Whoever Giovanni gets is a very lucky girl. He’s a great teacher.”
Later yesterday she pleaded with fans on Twitter: “Please be respectful to me at this time by not saying awful things.”
