Football scam penalty Players caught in £30M swindle must pay back dividends’

AN investment scam in which footballer­s lost fortunes is hitting new victims as lawyers start clawing back any profits made.

Up to 100 players were among 300 punters who lost a total of £30million after being lured by the promise of a huge 20 per cent-a-month return.

The Ponzi scheme, set up by former Wolves, Coventry and MK Dons midfielder Michael McIndoe,, crashed with huge debts in 2012.

Former Spurs striker Robbie Keane, Hull midfielder r Jimmy Bullard and Aston Villa winger Gabby Agbonlahor are among ong those understood to have lost st out.
