I’M DON MY HOLS Trump takes 17-day golf break

- By Karen Rockett

DONALD Trump began a 17-day golf break yesterday – despite saying he would never have time for holidays as President.

The break is twice as long as Barack Obama spent at Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts in his first year in office.

Mr Trump says he is spending the break on a “working holiday” at his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey.

In his 2004 book, Think Like a Billionaire, Mr Trump offered the advice: “Don’t take vacations. What’s the point? If you’re not enjoying your work, you’re in the wrong job.”

The president’s vacation is also part of a planned renovation of the White House heating, air conditioning and ventilation system, when all staff must vacate the entire West Wing.

But it did not stop critics comparing the length of his trip to Mr Obama’s.

“I’m going to be working for you, I’m not going to have time to go play golf,” Mr Trump told a crowd on his election campaign, in a swipe e at Mr Obama.

Mr Trump has takenaken 11 such “working” holidays before this monthh to his properties in Palmm Beach, Florida, and New Jersey.

He also spent a weekend in June at the government-ownedment-owned presidential retreat, eat, Camp David, Maryland. Mr Trump t old 60 Minutest es in November: “There’s j just so much to be done, so I don don’t think we’ll be very big on vaca vacations, no.” And last monthmont he told Republican senatorssenato to cancel holidays until lawm lawmakers could overturn the health law known as O Obamacare. But, asa writs fly against his family over c contact with Russi Russian officials, a bre break could be very w welcome.
