CORRIE HELEN AT LUVVIE SCHOOL

Soap star’s acting lessons at posh RADA

- By Phil Cardy

CORONATION Street star Helen Flanagan has taken acting lessons.

The Rosie Webster actress returned to the soap at the start of the year but in February her performances were called “wooden”.

Now she has revealed she has just completed a two-week course at the elite London acting school RADA.

Helen, 27, posed for a snap outside the Royal Academy for Dramatic Art and told fans on Instagram: “Had the most amazing time on my two- week course at RADA. Absolutely loved it.” The renowned college in the centre of the capital has Sir Kenneth Branagh as president.

Former students include Roger Moore, Ralph Fiennes, Maxine Peake, Gemma Arterton and Diana Rigg.

Fans laid into Helen in February after bosses allowed her to answer questions on the soap’s Twitter page following her return to the cobbles after a five-year break.

Execs pledged she would answer questions between takes at the studios in Manchester.

ITV told viewers: “Rosie Webster herself Helen Flanagan has taken over our Twitter! Send in your questions NOW.”

And viewers were quick to let her know what they thought about her scenes.

One told her: “Get off the TV. Ur ruining @Coronation_St shocking.” Rockstonediva asked: “When are you and your bad acting leaving Corrie so I can watch it again???”

But Sally-Ann Lawson said: “Genius. Rosie’s one liners and comic timing are the funniest.” And Katie posted: “Omg I love Rosie… she’s brilliant, hilarious.”
