IT’S FREEDOM OF SCREECH

we took care of her children when she had to go to work in Europe. Her kids are absolute sweethearts, very nice with sensitive souls.

“They spent last summer with us, played with the animals and watched our horses. They had a great time.”

Angelika questioned why Mel risked her children possibly hearing of all the allegations made public in court papers.

“Why is she exposing her kids to this whole drama?” she asks in an open letter to the Sunday People.

“We do not understand that at all. We pray that soon the truth will come out, that this whole circus will come to an end and Lorraine and Mel B’s children don’t have to suffer any more.”

Lorraine, still living in Los Angeles and married to events manager Michael Bleau, 32, is now suing Mel for libel over the accusation that she was a home- wrecker who had a secret affair with Belafonte and got pregnant. Lorraine admits in court papers she had threesomes with the singer and Belafonte but that she felt “very uncomfortable”.

The papers include a handwritten letter from Mel apparently sent earlier this year MEL B’s legal team are confident they can persuade a judge to throw out her ex-nanny’s multi-million-dollar libel case on Tuesday.

The singer’s lawyers say she is entitled to make her accusations under California’s free speech laws.

They said: “As a victim of years of domestic violence and abuse, Melanie Brown was entitled to bring ‘colorable’ claims to court.” Lorraine Gilles is thanking her for her work. The note is in complete contrast to the accusations Mel made about the nanny just a few weeks later in April.

It reads: “I write this to say thank you for everything you have done for my kids, but also sorry. You sacrificed seven years claiming over £2million from Scary Spice for her allegations that the nanny had a secret affair with her husband.

Lorraine says in court papers: “I never had any sexual relations with Stephen without Melanie’s instruction and without Melanie’s actual or apparent consent.

“At no point did I represent to Melanie that I was pregnant with Stephen’s child.” of your life and dedicated to my kids and for that, I am more than grateful.”

Mel invited Lorraine to attend daughter Madison’s school event “as a special person”.

Mel adds: “I want to thank you for everything you have done for me and my family and I mean that with a pure heart.”

She then urges Lorraine to “go live your life and please let me live mine with my family”.

She insisted that a reply was not necessary.“No need to reply to me nor Stephen respectfully,” she signed off.

Lorraine claims the note was sent on February 24 this year. The nanny’s evidence includes an email from Madison’s school head confirming the request from Mel. Just a few weeks later the Spice Girl filed for divorce. Her husband denies all Mel’s allegations.
