Klopp’s Fab Four beat all for him

-

JURGEN KLOPP insists his Fab Four strike-force is priceless – and that it’s a privilege to manage such a special group of attackers. Mo Salah, Sadio Mane, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino are in a rich vein of form, sharing 13 goals between them in Liverpool’s last three games, writes STEVE BATES.

As they head into today’s Mersey derby clash with Everton at Anfield, Kop boss Klopp would not swap his quartet for anyone.

And he admits he would find it impossible to put a value on them.

Klopp said: “Never! I have no idea. I haven’t thought about it but there is a big value for us.

“It’s not about money it’s about football skills.

“I said after the game against Spartak Moscow that we’ve had the same line-up in the past but they did not finish good situations in games.

“We created lots of good chances in all games but did not take them all the time. Now is the moment it has to stay like this. If we want to take the next step, that is the start.

Quality

“It only works if you win football games. If we win games, it’s the responsibility of the players. If we lose them, it’s my responsibility.

“At this moment it’s working well together and we should try everything to make sure that carries on.

“I am privileged to manage a club like Liverpool and to get players with quality like this. If I was somewhere else I would have no chance to bring these players together.

“I can really imagine how other managers think when they see my lineup. Perhaps they say, ‘lucky you’.

“That’s true but it’s not like I celebrate every morning and go on my knees and say ‘unbelievable’.

“What they have is unbelievable potential mixed up with attitude.

“We need to do the right things at the right moment, but they are human beings. We have to use the potential and mix it up with attitude.

“Readiness and fighting spirit is so important. I’m fine with what I’ve seen so far – especially against Moscow. I’m not sure we can deliver that again but that’s what we have to do.”
