HOLD ON A MO, IS THAT REALLY HIM?

-

YOU know you’re really making it big when people start doing their level best to look like you.

Jamie Vardy’s lookalike hit the headlines during Leicester’s 2016 title win, the 2000s were full of people copying whatever David Beckham’s current hairstyle was, and there are Lionel Messi doppelgangers all over the world.

And now it’s Mo Salah’s turn.

Because back in the Liverpool star’s native Egypt, Ahmed Bahaa is currently hitting the headlines for... well, looking a lot like Salah.

And with the PFA and Football Writers’ playerof-the-year awards under his belt, a potential Golden Boot to come and a Champions League final on the horizon, Bahaa (below, left) has picked a pretty good time to look like Salah.

The pair met recently (below) and Bahaa is now making appearances whenever Salah plays.

Nice work if you can get it. Anyone need an Iain Dowie lookalike? THAT’S it, we should all support Argentine third division club Ferro Caril Oeste now.

The Buenos Aires-based side have just released their new goalkeeper strip and while, like many, it is green, it also includes the ever-popular internet meme of Homer Simpson vanishing into the bushes for some reason.

D’oh-lkeeper (sorry) Nicolas Caprio (right) is behind the design and has already sported it on the pitch. What a time to be alive.
