Stunning bride arrives at side of beaming prince and he says... You look amazing

- By Martin Fricker and Victoria Murphy at Windsor Castle

MEGHAN Markle’s “perfect” day was sealed with a kiss on the steps of St George’s Chapel yesterday.

To cheers at Windsor Castle she and Prince Harry shared a tender embrace. A lipreader revealed Meghan then told Harry: “Oh that was so beautiful. So perfect... I am just so emotional.”

The magical moment capped a day in which the stuffiness of royal weddings of old was swept aside.

Stunned Harry, 33, was virtually openmouthed as Meghan arrived at his side.

Beaming from ear to ear, he told her: “You look amazing. I am totally stunned.”

They held hands throughout and Harry whispered “You look cute” and “I love you”.

After stepping from the 14th century chapel, Meghan asked Harry: “Do we kiss?” He gleefully replied: “Yeah”.

Just moments earlier the cheeky Prince had told his 36-year-old bride: “I’m ready for a drink now!”

The wedding began at midday after more than 600 guests arrived with military precision – the earliest at 9.30am.

Kensington Palace announced earlier that the Queen had given the couple the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Harry and brother Prince William, his best man, wore the frock coat uni-

form of the Blues and Royals. The brothers had a 10-minute wait for the bride and chatted and mouthed “hello” to guests who included actor George Clooney, TV’S Oprah Winfrey, singer Sir Elton John and David Beckham.

The Queen wore a lime, lemon, purple and grey printed silk dress by designer Stuart Parvin and a hat by Angela Kelly hat.

Beaming Meghan arrived at 11.57am in a vintage Rollsroyce Phantom IV. Her mother Doria Ragland, 61, was beside her and wore a custom-made lime dress. The bride’s stunning white silk dress was created by British designer Clare Waight Keller, artistic director at Givenchy. The 16ft veil included a flower design from each of the 53 commonwealth countries.

Loaned

Her tiara was Queen Mary’s Diamond Bandeau, loaned by the Queen. And her bouquet contained flowers handpicked by Harry from their Kensington Palace garden. Meghan had four page boys – William’s son Prince George, Harry’s godson Jasper Dyer, six, and seven-year-old twins John and Brian Mulroney, sons of Meghan’s pal Jessica.

There were six bridesmaids – William’s daughter Princess Charlotte, three, Harry’s god-daughters Zalie Warren, two, and Florence van Cutsem, three, Meghan’s god-daughters Remi and Rylan Litt, aged six and seven, and Ivy Mulroney, four.

Prince Charles took Meghan’s hand part-way down the aisle and led her to the altar. Harry said: “Thank you, Pa.”

Harry and Meghan smiled as the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Rt Rev Justin Welby, asked if anyone objected to their marriage. The Archbishop asked the Prince: “Harry, will you take Meghan
