GLITTERATI A-list from Oprah to the Clooneys witness the vows

- By Halina Watts, Showbiz Editor, Janine Yaqoob, TV Editor and Stephen Hawward

IT’S no ordinary A-list extravaganza when Oprah Winfrey turns up and she’s not the biggest star in the place.

Even George and Amal Clooney didn’t steal the show, though British beauty Amal drew all eyes in her gorgeous yellow dress and hat.

Hollywood royalty rubbed shoulders with... well, royalty, yesterday at the most glamorous royal wedding ever, packing St George’s Chapel with a galaxy of stars whose combined wealth added up to £3billion.

US television superstar Oprah, 64, a close friend of bride Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, accounts for a third of that value herself.

She was the first guest to arrive at Windsor Castle and sat near the front of St George’s Chapel. Actor Idris Elba, 45, an ambassador for the Prince’s Trust charity run by Prince Charles, followed with fiancee Sabrina Dhowre, 29.

Luther star Idris was later seen embracing another of Britain’s most successful talent exports, Late Late Show host James Corden, 39, who arrived with wife Julia. Corden is an old friend of Harry’s, as is footie legend David Beckham, 43, who was there with wife, former Spice Girl Victoria, 44. Posh wore navy, just as she did for the wedding of Prince William to Kate in 2011. Hollywood actor George Clooney, 57, and lawyer wife Amal, 40, were there as guests of the bride. Meghan and Amal, who share the same hairdresser Miguel Perez, have been friends since they were introduced by a mutual friend when Meghan moved to Britain. Among such a glittering line-up there was less pressure on Harry’s exes Cressida Bonas, 29, and Chelsy Davy, 32, who both looked happy and carefree as they attended along with a string of the Prince’s close pals. An onlooker said: “They were both in great spirits, seeming delighted with their invites.” Also on the groom’s side was Marcus Mumford and his wife, Bafta-winning actress Carey Mulligan, 32. Mumford and Sons frontman Marcus, 31, was later seen yawning as the National Anthem was sung by the choir of St George’s Chapel. He is another of Prince Harry’s party pals, having enjoyed frequent late-night drinking sessions with the Prince, who would regularly attend the band’s gigs.

Elton John, 71, who famously performed at the 1997 funeral of Harry’s mum Prince Diana, was back among the royals yesterday alongside husband David Furnish, 55.

The couple were later seen chatting to the Beckhams as well as singer James Blunt, 44, and his wife Sofia Wellesley, 34. Harry is a huge fan of fellow ex-serviceman Blunt, who performed at Harry’s Invictus Games in 2016.

Singer Joss Stone also attended, having been friends with Harry and William for years.

Joss, 31, often supports Harry in his humanitarian work, and is an ambassador for Sentebale, a children’s charity co-founded by Harry.

Hollywood hardman Tom Hardy, 40, arrived with wife Charlotte Riley, 36 – who played Kate Middleton in BBC2 drama King Charles III.

Hardy, Harry, Prince William and Becks all had cameo roles in Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

Tennis ace Serena Williams, 36, was there to
