Kit and Rose hitched after GOT love story

GAME of Thrones fans finally got their dream wedding, as Kit Harington tied the knot with co-star Rose Leslie yesterday.

The couple, who met playing lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte in the epic telly drama, exchanged vows in a tiny church before partying at Rose’s 12th century family castle near Aberdeen.

Compared to the show’s gory Red Wedding, scenes were much happier in Scotland, with co-stars Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Stark sisters Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams rocking up.

Kit shunned a fancy car (and a dragon) and arrived in a taxi. Rose waved to the crowds as she arrived at Rayne Church with her father Sebastian. Wearing an embroidered ivory gown and veil, she beamed and said hello to waiting fans.

After the ceremony, they made their way two miles down to road to Wardhill Castle, where a marquee was set up – beyond the wall.

Sebastian spoke of his joy at seeing his daughter marry. “We are absolutely thrilled for Kit and Rose to be marrying today,” he said. “It’s an absolutely lovely day for us.”

Two years after the pair, both 31, met, Rose left Game Of Thrones, while Kit became one of the show’s most popular stars, appearing in every episode.

They announced their engagement last year. Kit said it was “easy” to fall in love with her and his best memory of the show was meeting her filming in Iceland in 2012.

He said: “If you’re already attracted to someone and they play your love interest, it becomes very easy to fall in love.”
