BOY George is charging adoring fans £350 for a personalised video message.
For that, the Culture Club singer, 57, will wish your loved one happy birthday, invite someone special to an event or announce big news to your pals.
And George is not the only celeb cashing in on new “shout out” site Cameo.
Its line-up includes sports stars such as basketball legend Dennis Rodman, who charges a slam dunk £750 per message, whereas rugby bad boy Danny Cipriani might be worth a try at a more affordable £75. Bargains to be had include messages from US actress Mischa Barton, 32, who had a bit part in Notting Hill. She will record a video for just £19. And and glamour model Lucy Pinder, 34, is available for £23. But its stars are not the first to charge fans big bucks for a personal memento.
Last year, it was revealed John Cleese was charging fans £135 for a photo, autograph and chat at a film convention.
And two years ago, a top ticket for Justin Bieber’s world tour plus a selfie cost his admirers £2,000. Perhaps the cheapest was Towie’s Gemma Collins,who allegedly charged a young fan £12 for a photo at her salon before heading into
Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.
