May Cabinet a selfish,greedy own-goal mob

-

IF only Theresa May and her Cabinet could be like the England football team, uniting the public instead of dividing them.

Ministers should be working together for the good of all, not attacking the person in charge.

Playing to win means putting the team before themselves.

Instead the Tories are disrespecting the public and ignoring the people’s wishes.

Everyone in the Cabinet has their own agenda and is trying to push it forward regardless of the harm it can do to our citizens and to the national interest.

Weak

I HAVE been impressed with the drama of the World Cup but not the standard of football.

Teams have struggled to do the basics and many have under-achieved. Japan have been the bright spot for me, playing as if they were doing it for enjoyment as opposed to money.

England have done well, a young team who have stuck together under high pressure and coped admirably.

The manager has been calm and very professional all the way through. England are through to the semi-final.

But as a Welshman watching their games I feel sorry for players because any tiny mistake is pounced on and blown out of all proportion by pundits.

They seem to revel in building players up to knock them down. I find it a strange attitude when your team is playing to be waiting for a mistake rather than getting behind them.

The two worst things for me in this World Cup have been the VAR and the ridiculous diving. It looks like VAR stands for very average reffing. They’ve been slow and I think at times scared to make a proper decision.

The star player we all want to see must be governed by the same rules as everyone else. Clearly that has not happened. The diving and holding at set plays has been a tragi-comedy doing untold damage to the game.

It needs stamping out and a firm line drawn.

They should remember they work for us – and should carry out our wishes once we have spoken at the ballot box.

Yet they seem happier sticking knives in their leader’s back, undermining her and trying to force their own things through.

Unfortunately, bigshot Tories have no loyalty to the party, its leader or to the country.

They’re interested only in selfpromotion and amassing cash. possibly be for all, not just for the better positions to get the PM’S job. It is

The job of any government is to look off. I cannot believe how weak May is. disgusting, disrespectful and disloyal after all its people, not just the chosen She lets Boris, Gove, Hammond and – and shows them at their worst. few. So if the Tories want a good Brexit co say and do what they like. There have been a couple of years they should make it the best it can There’s a horrible shuffling of of talking and we seem no nearer a solution. No real plan, no real vision. No wonder the business world is worried. While the ship is sinking the rats are still fighting. This Government is not fit for purpose.
