Back for another helping of fab Nadiya

-

Perhaps they will crack on with a man? Get mugged off by a suave local? All while showcasing 12 eye-popping bikinis. Not quite. Awkward re-coupling was not encouraged on ITV’S Our Shirley Valentine Summer. Nor were we subjected to any impossible bodies. And no daft challenges with cream pies or firemen poles. And the women were hugely, ahem, loyal. It was Love Island for grown ups. Civilised, with a reasonable bed time. Well, except for the vagina-shaking. Thursday’s opener introduced us to the older girl squad. There was ex-model Melinda Messenger, 47, former weather presenter Sian Lloyd, 59, Sven’s ex, Nancy Dell’olio, 56, and How Clean Is Your House star Aggie Mackenzie, 62. Joining them on the Greek island of Naxos was ex-wag Lizzie Cundy, 50, comic welled FROM the moment Nadiya Hussain on up and gave THAT acceptance speech Bake Off, we knew she had star quality. And she moved seamlessly into to o presenting cookery shows. It is hard believe she’s been doing it for only three years. But she is back on BBC2 on Mondays with Nadiya’s Family Favourites, cooking up

And there was flirting from the off, with Lizzie asking the taxi driver for his number. But we soon got down to the heartache.

Lizzie, former wife of footballer Jason Cundy, said: “When I found out he was seeing someone else I was devastated.”

Ingrid, who divorced TV star Chris Tarrant in 2006, said: “Being betrayed has to be the worst thing.”

She then revealed she had not dated or had sex for 11 years.

Aggie declared: “For ten years I didn’t kiss anyone, far less anything else. But once I got back on the horse I felt as if a rocket had gone off in my head.” TMI? pie that tasty recipes. “This is the kind of into a says I love you,” she said, cutting our samosa pastry, while we all sat on sofas disappointed with our dinners. She also gave a demo of her favourite family breakfast – chai spiced vermicelli. With all the will in the world, I am toast never going to crunch noodles or coconut flakes before 9am. But it was a treat to watch.
