SIMON Cowell will forgive Sharon Osbourne for saying she would drown him by putting “a f***ing brick around his neck”, according to pal Amanda Holden.

X Factor judge Sharon, 65, is due to return to the panel for the ITV contest’s live shows.

Reports have claimed she could face the sack for calling Simon a “f***ing pain in the arse” who “will do whatever” to get his “f***ing fat face on TV”.

She also branded X Factor performances “f***ing karaoke” and contestants “little sh**s”. But Amanda reckons Simon, 58, would have enjoyed her comments. Speaking at the Animal Hero Awards on

Thursday, she said: “The thing with Simon is he loves people who break the rules, he is a rule-breaker himself, he enjoys people’s outrageousness.

“I think they have always had a love/hate relationship. I can imagine he found it quite cute, he’s got an amazing sense of humour. It will be like water off a duck’s back to him.”

The Britain’s Got Talent judge, 47, added: “He’s got an amazing line-up on X Factor this year so I can imagine he won’t care.”

Sharon’s harshest attack came when shock jock Howard Stern asked her which of the judges she would save on a sinking boat.

She said of Simon: “We would put a f***ing brick around his neck and throw him over. I will drown you, motherf***er.”

But though she thinks Simon would laugh it off, Amanda stuck up for the mogul. She said: “I love Simon, I won’t have a bad word said against him, even though he pushed me into a swimming pool fully dressed when I went round his house in Malibu a month ago. “I was wearing Gucci.” She also backed new judges Robbie Williams, 44, and his actress wife Ayda Field, 39, who this week welcomed third child Colette to their family, via a surrogate.

Amanda said: “Ayda’s bloody hilarious, she speaks four languages, she is so intelligent.

“I think Robbie was pretty well established before he married her, but I think she is fantastic at looking after him and his health, making sure he manages everything.

“And she is definitely responsible for the happy life he is living now with the children.”
