TAKE THAT EXCLUSIVE

- By Halina Watts SHOWBIZ EDITOR

TAKE That have told how rival band Boyzone led them astray with their boozy antics.

Frontman Gary Barlow revealed the Irish stars would end up fighting people during wild nights out.

He said: “We’ve only ever had one night out with Boyzone and it was in Paris. They can drink. They are Irish.

“Oh my god. I remember one of them having fights with people and we were like, ‘What is going on here?’ They are hardcore.”

Boyzone stars Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Shane Lynch and Mikey Graham will be splitting permanently after the release of their new album and a final tour. There have been many reports of their bust-ups over the years.

Fun

When asked which band member caused the fights, Gary said: “I can’t remember, it was the big one.”

And admitting he still loves to booze, Gary challenged renowned hellraiser Liam Gallagher, 46, to a drink-off.

The 47-year-old said: “I would like a drink with Liam for sure, show him a thing or two. But I’m the only one who is any fun. Stick with me. I am the last one standing.”

Howard, 50, then chipped in: “He had 17 glasses of wine in one night.”

Gary is going on a 30th anniversary tour with Take That bandmates Mark Owen and Howard Donald next year. They will also be releasing a greatest hits
