SENSATIONAL Stacey Dooley was crowned Strictly’s Dancing Queen last night – despite getting the lowest scores on the night. es failed to score perfect tens. Each of the four finalist couples had just a week of gruelling rehearsals to learn three dances for last night’s show.

Ashley Roberts and Pasha Kovalev opened the show with the famous Dirty Dancing lift to the delight of the audience.

After their salsa to (I’ve Had The) Time of My Life from the iconic film, head judge Shirley Ballas declared: “When you think something can’t get any better, you managed to take it to the next level.”

Steps star Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice’s dramatic Viennese waltz to It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World scored them a perfect 40 from the judges.

Darcey told her she was the “best ballroom dancer in the competition”.

But judges’ scores were just for guidance.

Joe Sugg dyed his hair bright red to match partner Dianne Buswell – as promised if he made it to the final.

“It’s not just your hair that’s red hot” said Bruno Tonioli.

“You are the biggest surprise of the series” said Darcey, while Shirley chipped in: “You are what this show is all about. You are a superstar.” SHIRLEY Ballas says the Strictly final weekend has been so chaotic that she fluffed her lines in panto.

Shirley went to Liverpool on the eve of the TV finale to play Mother Nature in Jack and the Beanstalk.

She admits Strictly took its toll on her panto debut, at sold-out Empire theatre.

Shirley, 58, said on Friday: “I forgot my lines tonight. We went wrong somewhere and it threw me. It was the first show, we’ll get it right.”

She said of her schedule: “I’m here, there and everywhere at the moment.

“Here doing panto, down to London for the final, then an early callback here on

Sunday. But it’s all good fun.”

Asked who had been her

Strictly final favourite, she insisted:

“They are all brill.”
