City star Sterling backed by Nike over racial abuse Pochettino: My Spurs can dare to dream

RAHEEM STERLING received support from sponsors Nike last night.

The Manchester City star sparked a national debate last week with his social media reponse to allegedly being racially abused during a Premier League match at Chelsea last Saturday.

Nike’s slogan is ‘Just Do It’ and, last night Sterling again used Instagram to post an image of himself, and the message from the sportswear giants: “Speaking up doesn’t always make life easier.

“But easy never changed anything.” MAURICIO POCHETTINO declared that Tottenham believe anything is possible after Christian Eriksen’s late, late goal kept them on Manchester City’s coat tails.

Spurs remain right in the hunt for the Premier League title, five points off City, after Eriksen fired them to victory with a 91st-minute winner.

And Pochettino, who claimed his 100th league victory as Spurs manager, said:

“We are in a very good position.

“We are there, we are close. In football, all is possible. Look at the Champions League. After three games, we had one point and nobody believed. We believed it JORDAN HENDERSON believes Liverpool are ready read to win the Premier League.

Anfield hasn’t celebrated a title-winning team since 1990 – but Kop captain Henderson believes Jurgen Kl Klopp’s stars have never been better equipped t to end that 29-year wait.
