Babs still remembers her mum’s Co-op ID DEMENTIA STAR RECITES NUMBER

by BRAVE Barbara Windsor is still sharp enough to remember her mother’s old Co-op membership details as she battles Alzheimer’s.

But, close pal and comedian Paul O’grady revealed Babs, 81, does sometimes repeat herself.

He said: “Barbara is a sweet- heart. We are in touch all the time. People write her off, but she’s doing really well. She went to the panto the other night and to 42nd Street.

“I ran into her and said, ‘What’s your mum’s Co-op number, can you remember?’

“She told me then said, ‘How the hell do we remember that?’ I said, ‘Do you remember me?’and she said, ‘You’re hard to ever forget.’ Asked what Barbara’s main problem was, Paul said: “You repeat yourself. If she does repeat herself, you just answer it and carry on like you haven’t heard it before.”

Barbara’s husband Scott, 55, told The People the couple are planning “a quiet Christmas with family”.
