I’ll give Corrie Jim the bird

BEV’S FILM REVENGE PLOT FOR EX’S RETURN

- By Janine Yaqoob TV EDITOR

REVENGE for Corrie’s Liz Mcdonald would be a dish not only served cold but also with feathers on it.

Liz is cooking up a horrific reception for her hardman ex Jim Mcdonald when he returns to the cobbles in a wheelchair.

Inspired by the 1962 horror film What Ever Happened To Baby Jane?, Liz hopes to present him with a terrifying treat.

In the movie demented ex-child star Jane, played by Bette Davis, serves up a dead parakeet and rat to wheelchair- bound Blanche, Joan Crawford.

This would be payback for Liz. Jim fled Weatherfield in September after pretending their dead daughter Katie was alive to steal Liz’s money.

Bev Callard, who plays Liz, said: “I would love that, serving him a budgie for his dinner. That would be great, though, wouldn’t it?”

Bev, 61, said: “Someone from the top floor, where all the powers that be are, said he comes back in a wheelchair. Liz is like ‘time for din dins Jim!’” She said Charlie e Lawson, 59, would get a warm welcome back in Corrie.

She said: “I don’t think they are finished. The way Charlie and I played it towards the very end, they were coming together again. He played it with a sense of remorse and that he really did love Liz.

“I really hope they bring him back. I think maybe he’ll somehow get the money to give back to Liz.”

Liz has rebounded from Jim by having a fling with Johnny Connor, played by Richard Hawley, and rekindled a romance with retired teacher Mike Thonberry (Louis Emerick).

Bev hopes Charlie’s return would not ot push her pal Louis out of the show. She said: aid: “I am hoping they’ll keep Louis as well. We’ve been mates for 30 years in real life.”

Corrie legend Bev has been in the e show since 1989 but said: “I’m doing a course urse in polished plaster. I love painting and decoratecorating. If I could afford ord it, I’d leave my job.

“I’d never wear ear a Wonderbra or false e eyelashes ever again.” ”

In October, Charlie harlie revealed he was diagnosed with exhaustion tion before suffering a ministroke on stage in September while perrforming a play.
