COADY: MO’S AN ENIGMA

- By Neil Moxley

CONOR COADY freely admits Mo Salah is one of the world’s best – but he doesn’t quite know how.

Wolves went the way of so many others this season as the Egypt international (left) leapt to the top of the goalscoring charts.

His 11th goal of the campaign paved the way for a 2-0 victory that left Liverpool as the Christmas table-toppers.

But the skipper of the Black Country club, a former trainee with the Reds, was left scratching his head afterwards.

Coady said: “Salah is a clever footballer. You can study what he does before games but when it comes to the day, he’s just world class

“I don’t think he touches the ball that often – but when he does he manages to make the game his own. It’s a strange one.

“It was a great finish for his goal. It went through my legs in the end but it was a great finish.

“We played the game today to try and stop him. But he’s doing it week in, week out – you’ve got to mark him down as one of the world’s best.”

Wolves head to struggling Fulham on Boxing Day with Coady expecting a test against a side he believes will come out to play.

He said: “We have started off the season OK. But we have got to look at the goals and improve from that.

“Fulham is now a big game for us and I’m happy that it’s on Boxing Day.

“They are another team who move the ball well so we will have to be at it.”
