Friend Cory Brown, 28, said police used ladders to climb through windows.
He said: “It was like World War Three. Any person would have been scared and ran. They ran and Sean was shot in the back” Pal Jayson Moore added: “Sean spent Christmas day building trampolines and playing with the kids.”
Another friend, who gave his name as Ali, said: “Sean served all of us – the police, everybody – in the Army up until last year.”
Two men were arrested for suspected drugs offences.
Yesterday police said they had yet to find a firearm and denied claims he was shot in the back. Assistant Chief Constable Sue Southern said: “From the information I have at this point, that is not my understanding.
“Body-worn video has been examined and there will be a full forensic postmortem. Findings will be part of the Independent Office for Police Conduct investigation.”
