- By Vikki White and Grace Macaskill

WHEN funnyman Bobby Davro signed up for the latest outdoors reality TV show it ended up more Carry on Camping.

Especially when he stripped off and sprinted around the tents.

He said: “On the last day, I said, ‘The only thing we haven’t done is a nudist camp.’ So I ran across the field naked in boots and a cloth cap.

“It was very funny.”

Bobby told how ex-eastender Joe Swash had also played it for laughs on Celebrity 5 Go Camping by hitting him on the head with an oar, slapping him in the face with a fish and throwing marshmallows at Michelle Collins.

The comic said: “I think he had too many Haribos that day. He’s got so much energy he’s like one of those Duracell bunnies.

“He knocked me in the mouth with a fish and cut my lip. He just gets so hyper you have to love him for it.

“Never go out on a kayak with Joe Swash. He hit my head with an oar.”

Bobby admits being nervous when he signed up for the Channel 5 show, which also stars comedian Stephen Bailey and Cheryl Baker, because he has such a fear of spiders. Hypnotist Paul Mckenna once put him under to help him hold a tarantula, but the sessions “wore off”.

He added: “I’d never do anything like I’m a Celebrity because of the spiders and heights. It wouldn’t suit me.”

Bobby is a favourite on reality shows, having done ne Celebrity Big Brother and nd Dancing on Ice, which h returns tonight.

But he claims he was treated “disrespectfully” on the ITV show.

“It was the toughest,” ” he said. “They didn’t connsider how hard it was s for someone like me to ice e skate.

“They treated us a little bit disrespectfully, I think, when it came down to what they were expecting us to do. I just couldn’t do it, it was really hard.

“I enjoyed BB, that was good fun.” But Bobby, 60, says he and his fellow celebs had “no idea” what they were doing during the camping show.

“I put up the first tent with Swashy and it was about an hour before we realised we were trying to erect the ground sheet,” he said.

Davro lives li with two of his three daughters, daugh Marine, 18, and Brittany, Brit 23, who he says “look “lo after me”.

Each year he enjoys Christmas dinner with ex-wife Trudi Jameson and girlfriend Vicky Wright seems OK with it.

He yearns for the past when w his impressions attra tracted millions of viewers. But these th days he is mistaken for Paul Gascoigne, without trying.
