DAVINA TO BECOME PT INSTRUCTOR
DAVINA Mccall says she is aiming to become a personal trainer before the year is out.
The TV presenter, 51, revealed last year she was working towards the qualification.
But she admitted: “I set myself a goal last year to do it but I just didn’t have time in the end.
“I got my fitness instructor qualification but this year I’m definitely going to get my PT one.”
Despite setting herself the target, the Long Lost Family and The £100k Drop host is not a fan of making New Year resolutions.
She said: “It’s fine if you want to set a few goals, but I don’t like the idea of making some big commitment and then using it to beat yourself up if you don’t achieve it.”
The fitness fanatic has just launched her latest DVD – Power, Box and Tone – which offers 10-minute bursts of exercise for busy, on-the-go women.
And Davina says this fits in with her own regime as, contrary to what people think, she does not spend hours a day perfecting her body.
She said: “It’s so funny people think that. Who has time to, unless it’s your career?
“I have three kids – and a day job.” The celeb instead squeezes 20- minute workouts into her mornings – either getting up early to go for a jog, or to follow one of her own DVDS.
Davina added: “I just work out to myself, which is really, really embarrassing. It’s just about doing something.”
Davina Power Box and Tone is available now on DVD and digital download.
