Evans feeling offended

GRAHAM COUGHLAN believes Bristol Rovers can keep getting better.

Marcus Forss put AFC Wimbledon ahead, but was then sent off after 66 minutes. Jonson ClarkeHarris added to Abu Ogogo’s equaliser before Tony Craig added a third.

“It’s nice to come away with 15 points from our first 10 games,” Coughlan said.

“We are looking for more. We’re not in a bad place.”

AFC Wimbledon remain winless. Manager Wally Downes said: “It’s my job to lead them through this adversity.”

SIMON GRAYSON believes Blackpool need to ensure they are difficult to beat on the road.

Matty Virtue’s added-time strike rescued a point after Curtis Tilt’s own goal.

“That’s four points from two away games. If you can’t win then you have to make sure you draw,” Grayson (left) said. Stanley boss John Coleman said: “We feel it’s a body blow.”

STEVE EVANS accused Paul Lambert of making “alarming and concerning” comments to him during the game.

Evans refused to be drawn on exactly what Lambert allegedly said, but reported it to referee Chris Sarginson and believes further action will be taken.

Kane Vincent-young met Kayden Jackson’s curling cross to head past a stranded Jack Bonham after 32 minutes and that was enough to send the Tractor Boys top of the table.

Evans said: “It was really alarming, really alarming. He said something rather concerning during the game; something that would concern somebody in the street, never mind a football manager trying to win a game.

“After nearly 1,000 matches as a manager that was the first time I’ve seen such behaviour. I spoke very politely to the fourth official and the referee noted it at halftime. I’ll leave it at that.”

Lambert said: “I just wished him happy birthday or something.

“It was Glasgow talk, you know.

“Put it this way, if I were a Gillingham supporter I would probably watch what is happening in the technical area. It’s really exciting when you’re the opposition manager.”
