PREM PICS MILK FANS

- By Stephen Hayward & Dominik Lemanski

GREEDY football bosses are charging fans up to £25 to be snapped next to their clubs’ replica trophies.

Premier League giants including Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea are accused of cashing in on fans’ loyalty by charging extra for souvenir photos.

The commemorative snaps are normally taken during stadium tours or at the club shop.

It’s the latest wheeze to squeeze more money out of hard-up fans already paying a fortune for season tickets and replica shirts.

Champions League winners Liverpool charge up to £ 25 for three photos in a souvenir booklet featuring a replica of the European Cup they won last season.

Premier League and FA Cup winners Man City charge £10 for a photo of fans next to their trophy haul – reduced to £ 8 if they book their stadium tour online. And Europa League winners Chelsea charge an extra £6 to “upgrade” a standard £24 stadium tour to include a souvenir photo.

Martyn James, of consumer complaint service resolver.co.uk, said: “This needs clamping down on now.” Liverpool said more than 21,000 fans had their photo taken next to the Champions League Trophy for free. Manchester City and Chelsea did not respond to requests for comment.
