RENFROW: I’LL HELP RAIDERS RAM LONDON

HUNTER RENFROW has already had his first taste of Champions League football and followed in Tiger Woods’ footsteps this week.
Now he wants to leave his own mark on London by firing Oakland to victory over Chicago at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight after a week of firsts.
“I played the golf course here [at The Grove],” said the wide receiver, from golfing nirvana Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. “I heard Tiger Woods (inset) has the course record, so that was cool.
“I went to the Tottenham game [vs Bayern Munich]. That was a fun experience. Everybody cheering the whole game.
“It’s great being able to see things like the Eye. I’ve never been to London, really never been out of the country so it’s a whole new world for me.”
The Champions League experience in the stadium he will grace tonight will live long in the memory of the 23-year-old rookie.
He said: “Tottenham went up 1-0 and it was amazing, just the energy of it all was fantastic. I was asking the people around me what’s the difference between American football and football over here. They said they don’t like American football because it stops and goes and stops, whereas over here it’s just on and on and on. It’s a lot of fun and it was exciting.”
Now the youngster has to focus on the business of the trip as the Raiders try to beat the Bears and make it three wins out of five this season, against a defence with few weak spots, said Renfrow.
“There’s not many.
It’s tough. But for us, if we’re going to be successful, we have to focus on what we can control.
“It doesn’t matter who we play. We have to let coaches coach and we have to go out and execute the plays and beat the guy in front of us.”
Team-mate Josh Jacobs is another Raiders rookie already making his mark in the NFL just four games into his pro career. And he too can’t wait to measure himself against such a talented defence as Chicago’s.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge,” said the 21-year-old running back.
