Seahawks Will find their way

RUSSELL WILSON is enjoying the best season so far in his eight-year career.

But if the Seattle quarterback wants to lead the Seahawks to another Super Bowl he will have to do it without his favourite receiver after Will Dissly’s injury curse struck again.

Dissly, 23, tore right knee ligaments last season, four games into his rookie campaign. He returned last month but tore an Achilles last weekend and is ruled out for the rest of the season.

As Seattle prepare to host the Baltimore Ravens tonight (Sky Sports Action, 9.25pm), Wilson said: “Will was having an amazing year. He was playing lights-out. Everything he did was right.

“The amount of energy and focus and time it took for him just to be ready for the beginning of the season.

“He had had a great season so far and it’s an unfortunate part of this game, but if anybody can come back again then it’s him. I really believe that.

“The best is ahead for him. I love Will. He’s an amazing team-mate and friend. I hold him in high regard.”

Wilson, 30, won the Super Bowl with Seattle six years ago and faces another exciting young quarterback tonight in Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson – and Wilson likes what he sees.

He said: “People always mention his speed and that’s obvious, but it’s the mixture of things he can do.

“He can throw it down the field, he’s tough, he’s smart.

“You put all those things together and he is special. I love watching him play.”
