We went to a shopping centre that could have been anywhere in the UK and a small cafe for a tasteless sliced cabbage and potato in a pasty.
At least we saw the beautiful art deco lighting and mosaic walls during a short trip on the Metro.

The Polish port is famed for bringing about the end of communist rule thanks to the trade union Solidarity.
Those of a certain age will recognise the port so often in the news in the 1980s. Among the exhibits at the European Solidarity Centre are three pieces of plywood with 21 handwritten demands.
