ENTER TH Giggs’ big guns are on fire for Hungary
RYAN GIGGS reckons Wales are finally peaking after his new-look side continue to impress to boost Euro 2020 qualification hopes.
Giggs was delighted after a dominant display in Baku. Wales took a stranglehold early on from Kieffer Moore’s second goal in four caps.
Harry Wilson doubled the lead in the 34th minute after Daniel James’ shot came back off the woodwork.
It sets up Wales for Tuesday’s deciding final qualifier at home to Hungary, with star duo Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey in line to start.
Giggs’ men have already qualified for a play-off in March but are desperate to make it automatic after reaching the semi-finals in 2016. They have hit form after bringing Wigan targetman Moore into the side for the draws with Slovakia and Croatia last month after successive summer losses to Hungary and Croatia.
Giggs, (right) in charge since January 2018, said: “The result was what we wanted and the priority but I am also pleased with the performance.
“I was pleased with individual performances and also the team as well. Some of the quality of the play was outstanding.
“We have played some difficult teams recently but we are starting to gain some sort of momentum.
“It is what we needed after two difficult games in the summer – we needed to come back strong. We are in a good place now. We will have to see how the lads are after the short turnaround for Tuesday
