PAUL Hollywood is baking mad after web scammers stole his pictures to con women online.
The newly single Great British Bake Off favourite’s snaps are being used by Nigerian crooks trying to swindle money from lonely women on Facebook.
Victims were targeted by fake profiles using the name Paul J Hollywood and a grinning picture of the handsome host, 53.
Some were asked for money and even nude snaps.
Paul told fans online: “This is my only Facebook account and any other account is nothing to do with me. Report any pages that you think might be fake.”
Almost 300 people replied to the post - many saying they had been contacted ed by the con artists. Emma Norris, orris, 53, told the Sunday People fraudsters messaged her after she commented on a recipe posted by the real Paul.
“This imposter messaged me and I was stunned that he was asking to meet up,” said Emma.
“For a split second I thought that Paul could actually be interested. Then I thought wake up this can’t be for real.
“I was so close to meeting him first for coffee in a public place. I felt vulnerable that I was taken in by him. Women need to be informed about their vulnerabilities using social media. Having been so close to something like this it has opened my eyes.”
She added: “I’ve heard he of other women being asked to send m money and even intimate photographs. It’s awful. I hope women read this and don’t fall for the scam.”
Barbara Teale, 50, from the Wirral, said she received a direct message which asked for personal details to “get to know her better”.
She said: “I smelt a rat as soon as I read that. I ignored the message and they came back saying I was taking my time. They were persistent!”
Last night the star’s spokesman confirmed the false account had been closed down.
Single Paul has just endured a bitter split with girlfriend Summer Monteys Fullam, 24. The pair had been dating since his marriage to Alex, 54, crumbled.
