PSG TOP THE BILL IN JADON PURSUIT

- By John Richardson

PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN are determined to win the £100million summer scramble for England winger Jadon Sancho who is also wanted by Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Sunday People Sport can reveal that the French giants put down their marker for the 19-year-old former Manchester City starlet when PSG faced his current club Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League last month.

Dortmund won the round of 16 first leg in Germany

2-1 and talks between the two clubs will continue around the second leg later this month.

PSG see Sancho, who left the Etihad for a bargain £8m in August 2017, as a successor to Neymar, who has once again been linked with a return to former club Barcelona.

Revelation

It’s a blow to the trio of Premier League sides chasing the teenager, who has been a revelation in the Bundesliga, and who will be a major part of England manager Gareth Southgate’s squad for the European Championship finals.

All three are prepared to break their club transfer records to bring Sancho back to the Premier League.

But they will now have to head off super-rich PSG and there is every likelihood that the eventual fee could even rise above the £100m, which is being currently discussed for any club wanting to prise Sancho away from Dortmund.

Liverpool though are more confident of landing another Bundesliga target, RB

Leipzig striker Timo Werner.

They are prepared to pay the £50m to trigger his release clause and have been told that Anfield is the 23-year-old’s favoured destination.
