DANIEL UDOH’S first league goal of the season lifted Shrewsbury out of the relegation zone and earned the praise of boss Steve Cotterill.

Luke Leahy had earlier cancelled out Dapo Mebude’s opener, and Cotterill said: “Everyone knows what I think of Dan. But you can’t pick a team on who you like. If I did, I’d pick him every week.”

Mark Robinson said: “We need to be harder to play against.”

SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY manager Darren Moore supported Bailey Peacock-farrell despite his goalkeeper’s costly mistake gifting a 90th-minute equaliser to Ipswich.

The Owls led 1-0 through Dennis

Adeniran’s goal – but Peacock-farrell failed to spot Macauley Bonne (left) lurking behind him in the penalty area. Seconds later substitute Conor Chaplin secured a draw.

Moore said: “He has been absolutely terrific in everything that he has been doing, there’s been one or two things that he thought he would have done better at but he can only learn from them.

“If you analyse his game you break it down he has been absolutely superb, he’s been absolutely tops.”

Ipswich boss Paul Cook said: “I think our supporters can see signs that we are still growing, we are getting stronger.

“I thought it was an excellent football match, fantastic crowd, both sets of supporters played their part in a fantastic atmosphere and the game was always on a knife edge.

“Sheffield have got some excellent players, Ipswich have got some excellent players and I think I thought we probably deserved to win but I know I might be a bit biased on that.”
