Medal win for gay veterans

ARMED forces veterans stripped of their medals for being gay are to have them returned in time for Remembrance Sunday.

It’s a major victory for the Sunday People, which has been campaigning with LGBT+ vets’ support charity Fighting with Pride to demand royal pardons and compensation for lost pensions.

Fwp’s Craig Jones said: “Now LGBT+ veterans will be able to join in... wearing the medals they so rightfully earned.”
