GIGI BEGGED ZAYN TO GET ANGER HELP Appeal before split

ZAYN Malik’s ex-partner Gigi Hadid had pleaded with him to get help dealing with his anger before his bustup with her mum.

A source told the Sunday People: “Gigi urged Zayn to get therapy before they split. She wanted him to deal with his issues.”

The revelation comes after a family friend close to Gigi claimed former One Direction star Zayn had a “complicated personality”, adding: “It’s been hard at times for Gigi to live with him.”

On Friday Zayn, 28, entered a plea of “no contest” in the US to multiple counts of harassment against supermodel Gigi, 26, and her mum Yolanda.

He denied reports that he had hit Yolanda, 57, a former star of US reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

And the singer, who split from Gigi in the summer, has vowed to “do everything in his power” to avoid a custody battle over their 13-month-old daughter Khai.

A Los Angeles-based business associate of Zayn said: “Any suggestion he has aggression issues – or cannot be trusted to care for her – is something he’ll fight with every ounce of his body.”

Zayn and Yolanda reportedly rowed over a snap she shared on

Instagram in which his daughter’s face could be seen reflected in a mirror. It was quickly taken down.

He and Gigi never show Khai’s face publicly. Zayn said this week: “I’m a private person and want to create a safe and private place for my daughter to grow up in.”

Court documents say Zayn allegedly called Yolanda “a f **** ing Dutch slut” before he “shoved [her] into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain”.

The papers also claim Zayn told Gigi to “strap on some balls” and defend him against her mother.

His “no contest” plea does not admit guilt but accepts the conviction, leaving him to pay £256 in court fees and fines.

A Pennsylvania judge gave him 360 days’ probation and ordered him to take courses on anger management and domestic violence.

Insiders say Gigi and Bradfordborn Zayn had agreed to “maintain a working co-parent situation” after their decision to split.

But US attorney Alison Triessl warned: “Because Zayn pleaded no contest it technically can’t be used against him in a civil matter.

“However, there are other ways to get this incident in if there’s a heated custody battle.”

Zayn wrote online: “This was and should be a private matter.”
