Tale’s hard Boyled plot

COMIC Frankie Boyle has written his first novel: a gritty crime thriller.

Set in Glasgow after the Scottish independence referendum, Meantime revolves around a drug addict trying to solve the murder of his best friend.

Frankie, 49, who rose to fame on Mock The Week, told The Bookseller: “I was keen on not going mad during lockdown, writing the book really helped.”

He has previously written three non-fiction books. Meantime is due to be published next July.
