Jo shows Ollie the way to go
OLLIE WATKINS has been told how to rediscover his goalscoring touch by former Holte End hero Julian Joachim.
Watkins top scored for Villa last season and made his England breakthrough.
But ahead of today’s clash with Leeds at Villa Park, he’s found the target just once this season.
Joachim (below), who scored 39 goals in five years at Villa Park and has just released his autobiography ‘You Must Be Joachim,’ said: “Ollie hasn’t become a bad striker overnight, but it was always going to be harder for him this season.
“Defenders get wise to you and make it harder for you.
“Every striker goes through runs like this.
“The time to worry is when you don’t get the opportunities.
“If you are getting opportunities and not taking them, you need to spend more time on the training ground sharpening up your finishing.
“If you can score goals, you can score goals
“And if it’s not happening, you just need to put in a bit more time on the training ground.”
