JOEY BARTON believes the fortunes of his struggling Bristol Rovers side are starting to turn.

Nick Anderton’s goal ended Harrogate’s unbeaten home run.

Barton said: “There’s signs of progress. There are good signs off the field as well as on it.”

Simon Weaver said of his Harrogate team: “It’s the first time now that we’ll see a test of their character.”
