We’re not Skydivers!

- By ROSS HEPPENSTALL at Bramall Lane

MARK ROBINS fears Coventry are in danger of being branded the “Skydivers” after Callum O’hare was booked for simulation inside the penalty box.

Former Aston Villa frontman O’hare hit the deck under a challenge from Blades defender Ben Davies in the 51st minute.

When referee Michael Salisbury booked him instead of pointing to the spot, O’hare protested his innocence and claimed he had been fouled.

Last month, Sky Blues star Matty Godden was hit with a retrospective two-match ban after admitting a simulation charge brought by the FA.

Coventry chief Robins said: “We don’t want to be known as the Skydivers, do we?

“Matty Godden’s ban was obviously retrospective and that’s what it was – but Callum doesn’t dive.

“He’s the mostfouled player in the Championship and there is contact – no doubt about it.

“If he’s off balance, then he goes down, and that’s just what he does if he gets a whack. I asked Callum about it and he showed me the cut on his ankle.

“Referees have a difficult job, but it really isn’t a dishonest thing.”

The Blades were booed off at the break. But the half-time introduction of David Mcgoldrick gave them added impetus in attack, although it took them until the 82nd minute to get an attempt on target.

It took a great save by former Blades keeper Simon Moore to deny Morgan Gibbs-white a late winner in a game of few genuine chances.

Slavisa Jokanovic refused to be drawn on his side’s poor form. The Blades boss said: “The only worry is the next game.

“Right now, we cannot be satisfied with our position, but this is no time for us to be stopping. We have to keep going.”
