JESSIE Wallace has renovated her lovelife – thanks to a whirlwind romance with her builder.
The Eastenders actress, 50, who plays fiery Kat Slater, is dating a handsome labourer she booked for a job.
Friends say the tradesman has moved into Jessie’s plush home despite the pair only seeing each other for weeks.
A source said: “It’s like a plotline from the soap – a classic Kat escapade. Jessie seems to be over the moon.”
The pair have been spotted getting close in Jessie’s neighbourhood of leafy Muswell Hill, North London.
The bespectacled builder wore a body warmer carrying the yellow logo of drill makers Dewalt. He teamed it with paint-spattered trousers, complete with utility pockets.
Jessie donned designer shades to enjoy a ride in the mystery man’s white Ford Transit with his ladders fitted to the roof.
And in turn the builder has enjoyed a spin in Jessie’s luxury Range Rover Evoque.
Surprise
Sources say the pair have even enjoyed a romantic holiday abroad.
Jessie usually keeps fans up to date on social media – but has made no mention of her handyman.
The soap favourite will be hoping she has finally found true love with her builder after a string of bodge jobs.
She was dating Majorca-based millionaire Paul Whitworth, once jailed for fraud, when she was first cast in the hit BBC soap in 2000.
The pair split as she rose to fame and she went on to have a fling with American Andy Burton. He later embarrassed her with kiss-and-tell revelations.
Jessie also dated policeman Dave Morgan, whom she met after she was arrested for drink-driving in 2003.
The two moved in together but split shortly after their daughter Tallulah, now 17, was born.
Jessie planned to marry catering boss Vince Morse in 2011.
But she called off a reported £300,000 wedding just hours before they were due to tie the knot after finding out he had sent explicit photos of her to his ex-girlfriend.
In 2016 Jessie split from musician Tim Arnold after a four-year romance.
Her most recent known boyfriend was dad-of-five Paul Kempin, but the two called it a day in 2019 after two years.
Her latest surprise romance comes less than three weeks after Jessie enjoyed a boozy afternoon outside an Italian restaurant in
Marylebone,
Central
London, before being helped by the owner into a taxi.
