The greatest Showwoman

- By Sarah Robertson

EXCLUSIVE

BRITAIN’S Got Talent favourite Loren Allred has told of her delight at hitting the limelight after being the faceless voice of blockbuster film The Greatest Showman.

The 32-year-old American, who sang the popular track Never Enough in the 2017 smash-hit, is through to tonight’s ITV final after years in the shadows of the stars.

She said: “For me, BGT was about being able to go to the UK and for people to get to know me for me and not just a faceless voice in The Greatest Showman.

“It was an opportunity for me to be able to step out of The Greatest Showman’s shadow and be me. It has allowed me to tell my own story, in my own words, and for me to introduce myself as Loren.

Powerful

“Being in the final means everything – especially because it’s the British public who voted for me to get through.”

Loren has the backing of Hollywood star Hugh Jackman – who played the lead role of legendary entertainer PT Barnum in The Greatest Showman – as well as celebrity pals including singers Michael Buble and Rebecca Ferguson, and hitmaker David Foster.

On Thursday’s live semi-final, Loren won the overall public vote with her powerful performance. And she will be forever grateful to judge Amanda Holden who pressed the golden buzzer to get her through to the semis.

Loren said: “She was the one who saw something in me and has championed me from the start.”

Loren is among 10 acts, plus a judges’ wildcard choice, in the final.

The winner will walk away with £250,000 and a slot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.
