A FEWE FELLAS FANCY CLONING
MORE than 10% of men want to be cloned and they are twice as likely to want to live for ever.
A poll found 25% of males never want to die, compared to 12% of females.
Just 4% of women said they would like to be cloned like Dolly the sheep – the first mammal created from a single cell in 1996. Yet 18% of men reckon they would like to be cryogenically frozen after they die, while just 8% of women fancy being put on ice.
Overall, only 20% of the people polled by the Theos think-tank liked the idea of eternal life.
Theos’ Dr Nick Spencer said: “Our study shows that immortality, at least the idea of living for ever on Earth as we are, is not really that
appealing to most people.”
