JAMIE GEORGE is part of rugby’s most famous comedy duo, but he is not doing the current tour of Australia for giggles.

The England hooker and veteran scrum-half Danny Care were dubbed Ant and Dec in 2016 down under when they kept the squad entertained with their version of I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Care is back in the fold after nearly four years of being cold-shouldered by coach Eddie Jones and the pair are, again, in charge of keeping spirits up.

But George (above) and Care also have to prepare the tour rookies – like Freddie Steward, Fraser Dingwall and Ollie Chessum – for what to expect from a ferocious Aussie public.

George said: “We have a meeting, just the players, and the team psychologist and those are the sort of conversations we have been having.

“We get into groups, with people that have been here and haven’t.

“It is important to know what is coming so it doesn’t come as a surprise, but at the same time you don’t know what they are going to throw at you.” That trip six years ago was a massive success as England wrote history with a 3-0 walloping of the Wallabies.

George said: “That was the start of the ‘Ant and Dec’ situation and Danny’s inclusion in the squad has certainly brought a smile to my face.

“We will be making sure people are entertained while we are here.

“It was my first proper tour with England and my over-riding memory is one of happiness.

“We trained pretty hard but we got out and about. We were tourists, we were playing golf, and on top of that we were playing good rugby and got the balance right.

“It is probably one of my favourite tours.

“Eddie has spoken about how important that side of it is. Knowing friends who live out here, and having been out here before, you get to know the lay of the land and what to organise.

“We are going to have a really fun time over the next three weeks, on and off the field.”
