TWO more captured Britons could face death sentences at the hands of Russia after being accused of “mercenary activities” in Ukraine.
Aid worker Dylan Healy, 22, and military volunteer Andrew Hill face trial in separatist-held Donetsk.
Amnesty said they it would be “sham process” and the chances of a fair trial were “vanishingly small”.
The pair face the same charges as Brit fighters Aiden Aslin, 28, and Shaun Pinner, 48, who have been sentenced to death by firing squad.
In a video released by Russia, Andrew appears traumatised, in camouflage and a sling and says he is a father of four from Plymouth.
Captured
Hotel chef Dylan, from Cambridgeshire, was not involved in fighting and was captured in April at a checkpoint on a mission to rescue a woman and two kids.
Non-profit Presidium Network, which first learnt of his capture, said the home of the woman he were heading to was stormed three hours later by Russian forces.
Soldiers reportedly forced her husband to the floor and asked her “how she knew these
British spies”.
Dylan was captured with fellow aid worker Paul Urey, 45, whose whereabouts is unknown.
The Foreign Office said: “We condemn the exploitation of prisoners of war and civilians for political purposes and have raised this with Russia.”
Kristyan Benedict,of Amnesty said of the pending trials: “This is a sham process designed to exert diplomatic pressure on the UK.
“In exploiting their capture of Dylan Healy and Andrew Hill, Russia and its proxies in Donetsk are adding to a huge catalogue of war crimes they’re committing.”
It comes as Aiden’s partner Diana Okovyta urged the Government to try pro-putin propagandist Graham Phillips as a war criminal and bar his return to the UK.
Brit-expat Phillips interviewed the bruised Aiden in captivity in a report for Russian television.
Meanwhile, Russian ice hockey player Ivan Fedotov, who signed a $1.1million dollar contract with US team the Philadelphia Fliers, has been rounded up by Russian police and forcibly enlisted in the army.
